As of 11:26am today, we switched over to our new infrastructure running the latest and greatest.  The net result for you, our clients and customers is:

  • Faster load times for all pages
  • Fewer timeouts at poor Internet connections (requires less offline use)
  • More redundancies (with our servers load-balanced in multiple data centres)

We experienced a few minor outages prior to the change-over, and for that we sincerely apologize.

We also have a code-change-freeze (meaning no new features will be launched for six days  during Feb 22-28) to ensure that the new infrastructure is without hiccup.

New York City’s Time & Attendance Project

New York City decided to build their own time and attendance called CityTime with an original budget of $68million (the cost of the project ballooned to over $700 million) .

At $2/employee/month, NYC could have used our product for 116 years spending that amount of money (and that’s if they paid up front, we charge monthly).

Nerds On Site standardized to the Yubikey ( as a two-factor authentication device, and we’re obviously pleased to share that Yubico does not suffer from the same single point of weakness as RSA did.

No need to take our word for it, but check out the Yubikey and consider it for your two-factor authentication for punch-in and punch-out processes in environments where appropriate.

TimeWellScheduled Demos Get a Great Reception!

I had an excellent demo today from Mark Kempe on the TimeWellScheduled software for my largest NerdCare client.

The demo was very fast paced, and didn’t waste their time, which they were very pleased with.

It showed them everything they needed to know, and Mark answered all of their questions.

It looks like he can customize the program to give them exactly what they need to save them MANY man hours each week!!!!

When the demo was done, they asked Mark if he could write them a dispatch program as they were very impressed. (They have just recently purchased dispatch software for around $50k for the hardware and sofwtare solution).

That has started the discussion of the possibility of My Business OS in the near future.

Great job Mark, and a great looking and very useful piece of software!
