Quickly See Last Years Totals – Better Scheduling

Tuesday, March 5th, 2013

For those of you with us for more than a year, we’ve included last years financials at the bottom of the scheduling screen so you can compare your current weeks totals with last years. You can also click the data to jump back to that time period. When done, click the TODAY button to jump back to this week.

Better Scheduling

I need a way to see a schedule for last year, but I’ve moved some of my employees to new departments, what do I do?

Tuesday, February 26th, 2013

Go to MANAGE MY BUSINESS and select MANAGE MY EMPLOYEE GROUPS. Create a new employee group, giving it a name such as ‘Cashiers Last Year’ and select the employees that made up that group last year.

Go to the SCHEDULING screen and under your list of departments, select the newly create group.

Version 2.0.07

Thursday, February 14th, 2013

Features Added:

  • CR 77 – Changes to ABSENCE  reports:
    1. By Employee – need to go farther in the past than Feb 2012
    2. By Reason Type – add employee drop list
    3. By Alerts – When you run the report, you don’t know who you picked (it doesn’t show the name) and all the reason types are shown, even if you pick just 1

Issues Fixed:

  • BR 61 – In the timecard edit, if the timecard was added manually, rename the edit screen middle section from ACTUAL HOURS to TIMECARD ADDED HOURS
  • BR 65 – When approving timecards, APPROVE AND GO TO NEXT TIMECARD doesn’t always work
  • BR 66 – In specific cases, the title would read “SCHEDULED – SCHEDULED OVERNIGHT”, and sometimes in error
  • BR 67 – When someone is scheduled and forgets to punch back in from meal and punch out at the end of the day, the system would put the punch back from meal 3 minutes before end of shift. It now sets the meal punch in to the default meal length (only in cases where the employee forgets to punch in)
  • BR 68 – The ‘Time Card & Payroll » Time Card Punch Report’ reported the PAID hours, some clients wanted the ACTUAL punch. So we’ve renamed this report to ‘Time Card & Payroll » Time Card Paid Punch Report’ and added a new report ‘Time Card & Payroll » Time Card Actual Punch Report’

Now you can better manage the hours per role

Wednesday, November 28th, 2012

When you create a role, you can optionally enter the minimum and maximum hours an employee should be scheduled each week.

When an employee is outside the requirements, the validation of the schedule will trigger a warning.

COMINGSOON – The system will highlight the hours right in the schedule and alert managers when the schedule is published.

Scheduling Screen Quicker To Load

Monday, November 12th, 2012

Now when you visit the scheduling screen, the previous week and department you were working on is automatically loaded. No need to have to reselect the week and pick the departments you were viewing.

Sometimes employees have to work in another department and the manager can’t update the schedule before they start the shift – how do we fix this?

Thursday, November 1st, 2012
Once the employee is done working, go to the scheduling screen and click the EDIT icon
In the popup, select the new department the employee worked:

Updated Validation Button

Monday, August 13th, 2012
We’ve updated the validation button so it’s color coded and easier to see if there are items you should address.
The button now has 3 states:
Schedule Not Validated – this means the schedule has been made but no one has validated it

Warnings In Scheduled – this means the schedule has been reviewed, but there still remains issues to correct

No Validation Issues Found – The schedule has been checked and all issues are resolved

When I look at a schedule, I see employees from other departments, why?

Friday, May 11th, 2012

To help in the scheduling and avoid employees being double booked, we default show all employees who can work in the departments you’ve selected.

If you do NOT want this, and want to see ONLY those in that department, check off ‘Show only this department’
