Stat Hours Worked vs Stat Hours Earned
|
Stat Hours Worked → The hours an employee actually works on the statutory holiday.
Example: If someone works 8 hours on Canada Day, those 8 hours are stat hours worked.
Stat Hours Earned → The paid time an employee gets because of the statutory holiday, whether they work that day or not.
Example: If an employee is entitled to an 8-hour paid holiday for Canada Day, those 8 hours are stat hours earned — even if they stayed home.
Hours Earned → The number of holiday hours the system calculates they would get based on provincial rules.
Example: Ontario law might say this person earns 8 hours for Canada Day.
Hours Earned Paid → The number of holiday hours they are actually paid, based on whether they qualify under those rules.
Example: If they didn’t meet the “worked before and after the holiday” requirement, they would get 0 hours paid — even though the “Hours Earned” shows 8.
If needed, you can override the paid amount manually by clicking the Edit icon.
